I was so excited to create this custom journal!
A gentleman was looking for a unique gift for his young teen niece. Due to unfortunate family circumstances she was currently living with her grandparents and her uncle felt she deserved something extra special. He told me she loves Pirates of the Caribbean and the idea of treasure hunting and adventuring. Also, he had a wonderful idea of how to present this gift to her, which needed to be taken into consideration (more on that later). After some collaborating, I felt had a vision of what I needed to create. Thankfully, he was very happy with the results!
Now to share how this wonderful uncle presented her gift...
The grandparents live on the edge of a beautiful river, so he rolled up the journal and sealed in within a glass jar. He then went upstream and placed it in the river where it began to slowly float downstream. Meanwhile the grandparents and young girl where enjoying the day by the riverbed, at the same time however, the grandparents were keeping a keen eye out for the unknown object that would soon slowly float towards them. And when it did, what an amazing surprise for that young girl to discover such a unique and mysterious journal floating right towards her in her own back yard!
